Simulation Specialist, Center for Procedural Skills and Simulation (CPSS)
Biography
Ian oversees the Dr. John M. Graether Ophthalmology Simulation Lab, a state-of-the-art facility where residents and fellows acquire and sharpen surgical skills using virtual reality (VR) consoles, microscopes, and synthetic eyes modelling various conditions and diseases. He also assists in the operation of the CPSS Bioskills lab and runs team-based simulations for Internal Medicine and Surgery. With a background in higher education and technology R&D, Ian provides AV, curricular, and research support to faculty, staff, and learners.
Ian loves making music and video art with analog electronics, reading philosophy, hiking, and cycling.
