Biography

Jorge started his career in health care in the Department of Pathology. He also has years of experience in trades and hobbies that include metalworking, welding, and restoration. Jorge obtained his degree at Iowa and began working with the College of Nursing in 2013. Here, he quickly became a vital asset to the simulation team and served as an Instructional Services Specialist. Since joining CPSS, he has become an invaluable asset to the team. He serves as director of the wet labs and leads the center's procurement process through dedicated work with Deeded Bodies. Jorge expanded CPSS to include an outreach program, demonstrating his commitment to medical and simulation education. 

Jorge loves cooking as a creative outlet, enjoying literature and poetry of all cultures, and art in all forms of media. He minored in Studio Arts at Iowa, with metals as his medium.
